This card is for VSN challenge L. I'm not sure what this technique is called that I used on my card -- Emboss Resist is the closest I can think of. We did it in a class I attended last week. The images are stamped in Versamark on glossy cardstock and then sprinkled with both gold and silver embossing powders in different sections of the card. Then emboss. Sponge on two colors (I chose Palette Beaux Arts Blue and Tim Holtz Distressed Barn Door) and then rub with a paper towel. I think it results in a very interesting background. I added some bling to the butterflies.

I think of the embossing technique as double embossing although I think that means something else here on SCS! I love that you used a couple of colors to do your emboss resist. It's lovely!

Oh, so lovely! I like the two-tone butterflies. Makes me want to try the resist technique again. . . And the colors of your layers make the image really stand out!
