Based on the sneak peek I made this for the TPT challenge today. Having grown up within earshot of the sea I could make beach cards all day, and hope to have time to make another once I get the housework out of the way. But this will do good as a guy card - no matter what embellishments I tried adding (shells, twine, buttons, even an orange star one that was almost a starfish) nothing worked, so it stands or falls as is.
It's a big bigger than my usual, as I stamped the scene and then didn't want to trim it too much.
Base is 7x5" cream card, stamped with Weathered in Weathered Wood. I drew a brown line 1/4" in, then masked inside that and sponged around the rest with Antique Linen. The very edge is sponged with Vintage Photo, as is the edge of the image panel.
Image panel is watercolour paper. Most of the stamps are Kittie Kits Cause a Scene, with the birds from Shore Thing. I used Versafine Sepia for most of the stamping, with a green marker for the grasses, and some Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo for sand.
Colours used for sponging - Antique Linen, Scattered Straw, Broken China, Stormy Sky.
I'll be back to comment after that housework, and I'll bring some nice sand-free sandwiches and ginger-beer for an alfresco picnic.

This certainly reminds me of visits to the beach - I think especially of those little birds running up and down the shore - you have captured it all so well. Such great finishing touches, too.

I knew some Kittie stamps would show up in this challenge! OMG! Sabrina, you are an expert at beach scenes. I love that its like a one layer card...with no embellishments...no frill. A wonderful card for Anthony and it sure brings a nice relaxing, restful place to mind! I know he will be touched by getting a beach scene from Ireland!
Ooh, I am hungry! Thanks for the picnic! You always bring such yummy stuff!
Kittie commenting first is evidence that you rocked her set! Whoo hoo! You da teapotter! Thanks for the kind email!

Oh my goodness Sabrina, this is wonderful! Each of the images that you chose are additions, not add-ons, making this a really lovely scene. Your masking and sponging are perfect, adding more dimension and adding a real beachy feel to the card. Can you tell that I love this? Really wonderful card for the Party today
