I was trying to upload this to my blog, but apparently blogger is having major issues today. If you could see this on my blog, you would see a second picture that shows the gorgeous shimmer on the flowers as well as the white scallops.
This card is for Flourishes' Sketch Challenge that was posted on the Flourishes blog today. I love this sketch with its clean and simple lines. I took a little liberty with the horizontal strip by adding a wide sheer organdy ribbon and then tying some pink baker's twine around it.
The flowers were colored with Copic markers, sponged with Antique Linen distress ink, and then sponged with some Winter Frost Creative Inspirations Paint for a gorgeous shimmer. The green card base is stamped with Flourishes' Damask background, and it echoes the swirls found in the patterned paper. :-)
I also stamped the mug, colored it, and cut it out. To get the flowers "inside" the mug, I cut around the stems of the flowers, cut a slit in the mug, and inserted the stems into the mug. Again, if you could see a close-up picture, it might make more sense. Here's hoping blogger gets fixed soon! :-)
