Used a flat paint brush on the flower. Squeezed the top of the ink pad lid to get some ink on it. Then filled the flower with a light coat of Pink Passion using the ink on the lid. Then float loaded my brush (dip brush in clear water, lightly blot brush on paper towel leaving some of the water on the brush. Then load just one corner of your brush with ink. Blend ink into brush by lightly painting a small stroke onto scrap paper before actually painting.) Then I darkened in the sides of the peddles to give them a shadowed look. Did the same on the outside of the flower with More Mustard. You could probably achieve a similar look by using your aqua pen. I just like the blended in look that you get when you float. It's a painting technique that I used back when I use to tole paint.
