This one is for Chez-Lara and she picked, you guessed it, Blue Hydrangeas.
I actually did this one first but was not happy with the results and by the time I was done with the other 11, I still wasn't so started from square one and am glad I did because I LOVE this one.
Fabric base, fringed a bit because I like the look, glued on top of paper. I used a Kumiko Sudo pattern as the base for the flowers (I have several of her books and have acutally made the hydrangea quilt). I had to modify it a little so it would scale down and would do a thing or two differently if I did it again (like not use heavy stabilizer as sewing through several layers is just a tad difficult). Prima leaves, love the wire in them so I could give them some shape and some seed beads for sparkle and because they kind of sort of look like hydrangea buds.
