Front Image: Texture embossed cross entwined in branches
Front Sentiment: Bible verse Matthew 28:6
Inside Sentiment: “Happy Easter”
I created the base card from dark orange cardstock and layered it with beige and rust cardstocks that I have decoratively punched. I printed the Bible verse in coordinating ink on beige cardstock and die cut it out to use as backdrop on the card.
For the focal point of the card, I cut out a cross from rust cardstock and dry embossed it with a square pattern. To add depth I sponged on some color and matted the cross with beige cardstock. I entwined the cross in dark orange branches and popped it off the surface of the card.
To add interest to the card I affixed a ribbon and bow reflecting the square textured pattern on the cross. I added a few more of the dark orange branches along the ribbon. All of these elements give the card further dimension and visual depth.
For the inside panel I printed “Happy Easter” in coordinating ink on beige cardstock that I die cut to match the front Bible verse. I matted the inside sentiment on layered panels of rust and beige cardstocks. I decorated the inside with a strip of the ribbon and popped a beige cross on a backdrop of orange branches in the lower right corner.
I also created a coordinating envelope from heavy white cover stock and decorated the lower left corner. I sponged inks to create a background for two dark orange branches and a beige cross.
