I'm making some encouragement cards to accompany handmade quilts that go to seriously or terminally ill people. I have to be careful to avoid saying "get well soon" because some of these people won't. Anyway, I am trying to keep the cards upbeat, bright, and humorous.
This one says on the inside: Hang in there!
It is a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" card. I stamped the clothesline and colored in the poles with pencils. I added the grass, sky, and fence using Kittie Kit Cause a Scene stamps and a sponge and stipple brush. I punched a hole at the top of each pole and threaded hemp cord through them for the clothesline. The clothes are stamped on patterned paper (mulberry paper for the towel to give it a little more texture), then cut out and mounted on dimensionals. The borders are cut with deckle scissors.
Thanks for looking.

Oh Judy, so cheerful and colorful. I love your pieced clothes, twine clothesline. sponged and stippled background and brightly colored framing. Perfect card and sentiment for a wonderful cause. TFS
