We're off to visit Duff Land aka The Ace of Cakes, one of my favourite shows! My first thought when I saw this La Boheme cake, I thought Graphic45 paper. And then I thought hat box. And so I put them together to make this Hat Box cupcake holder!! This is also for the DD April Central Theme - oh so shapely!
Cut out the circular base with a Creative Memories circle cutter and then added a black rectangle that is scored and then cut many times along the edge so that when folded in, allows it to form a circular tube that fits onto the circle. Added a strip of red cardstock and then some images from the Graphic 45 Curtain Call borders. I then cut out some Graphic 45 ladies from the Fashionista - En Vogue line. Punched two holes in the side and threaded through some grosgrain ribbon as the handle.
The lid was made the same way, but then I ran the red circle through the Cuttlebug to cut out the flower shape and then lined it with cellophane. This will allow you to see the cupcake when it's inside! Added some flowers to the top and then some SU striped ribbon tied in a knot at the front. Here's the view from the front.
Thanks for taking a peek!
