This is my card for Flourishes "Spring has Sprung" challenge. Flourishes is challenging us to use "Grass Green, Robin's Egg Blue & Daffodil Yellow".
Well, call me a stick in the mud, but I just can't work work with bright colors like that. I like rules and want to follow them, and I tried my best
I used Flourishes "From The Desk Of" colored in, cut out and popped up on popdots. The letters are colored in with Distress Inks, for an aged look to them. Then placed it all on an oval mat cut out with a Spellbinders Oval die and sponged in with "Scattered Straw" Distress Ink, then layered over a Spellbinders Scalloped Circle diecut. I placed a doily under everything, also sponged in with "Scattered Straw" ink, to enhance the beautiful shapes of the flowers in the vase. I used a ruffled ribbon from my stash and added a cream ruffled ribbon from Prima over the top. The paper is an old October Afternoon piece, that I added some square bling to from Basic Grey to the corner and on the cream ribbon.
