This is for FS217 and Irene "DandI93" is our featured artist today. Congratulations, Irene! I had a wonderful time going through your gallery this morning. I came across your Dirty Laundry card where you created an oudoor laundry scene. QFTD15 , Dirty Laundry by DandI93 at Splitcoaststampers I loved your take with all the hanging laundry infront of the trees. I kept your same laundry line theme with clothes hanging out to dry but put mine looking out of the laundry room window. I changed the color combination of the clothes to pastels and used bright regal rose for the base of the card and framed the window with crisp white drapes.
I created the outdoor tree and sky scene by sponging in the clouds and then stamped my mini fern stamp over both sides to create the edges of two trees. I cut a frame using nestabilites and popped it up over the scene. I created the white drapes using a border punch and then crimped them. I stamped all the images, painted and then cut out to pop up over the clothes line and the base of the card. Laundry is not one of my favorite jobs although one that is necessary. I couldn't resist using the "things to do" sentment and using folded laundry on both sides.

A really nice card- I especially like the curtain treatments. Thanks for explaining how you made this! I think I will have to get my paper crimper out today

Kittie, this is GREAT! And soooooooooooo FUNNY!!!! I remember actually THROWING away ALL my son's dirty laundry one summer. He didn't put anything in the laundry AT ALL! So, I went into his room and grabbed everything on the floor and shoved it in garbage bags. I dragged them to the street and left them there for the garbage truck that came later that afternoon!
Funny thing??? My son NEVER NOTICED!!!!!!!!!! NEVER, to this DAY!!! LOL
