The teaparty gals are at a ball this week (boy we have been dressing up a lot lately - think that has anything to do with the dressy Fan Club theme in March???). Seems we are trying to get ribbons to Satin E. Sasha so that Officer McTibbons will ask her to marry him. Personally, I think we should give the ribbons to another gal, because any man who would only ask a lady to marry him because he liked her ribbons would be a dud for sure. No future to that marriage...
This is also for the QFTD54 challenge where Lois (Clownmom) was crowned royalty for this week. I cased her wonderful oval birthday card seen here:
I stayed with her yellow and black combo and I chose the same die cut, but I changed the ef, made it an easel card, used a different image and sentiment combo, and added a flower arrangement. I got these lovely yellow Prima Flowers from Jerri Kay's store this week and I was itching to use them; I also used one of Pat Smether's flowers and a leaf from her "dollar store flower" collection.
This card is going in a box with some ribbon and other goodies to Ashley, a fellow stamper, who lost a lot of her crafting supplies in a flood.

Wow, Ms. Nancy, this card is certainly one to enter the Black Tie Gallery as well as to honor Lois as our new Queen this week .
Fancy Schmancy Nancy, you sure you didn't steal this gown from some Paris fashion designer??? Love that cuttled card and the nestied layers for the backdrop for your dress!! Wonderful sentiment, layered up so well with that classy black, the die cut scrolled label AND the rhinestones - whew! out of breath seeing all the finer details - it must have taken you HOURS to do - but so worth the wait!! Hugz!

Absolutely gorgeous, Nancy! The rich colors and details, like those sumptuous roses are gorgeous. I like the mannequin with the glitzy skirt and bling accent. What a lovely card to honor Lois.

OMG, my Central AL friend, you really dolled this one to the nines. I love it! The sparkly dress is divine and so are the flowers. Such a pretty sentiment, too. To answer you, it is cold today, partly sunny, partly cloudy here...bring on the 90's. Marriage based on ribbons, I agree, is doomed. LOL Glad you have a fun day off.
