I pulled about a gazillion of these flowers out of a pool today. They can get mighty heavy when wet. Oh well, I guess we call that "job security"....my card....
Received my daily Martha Stewart e-mail. Today she showed how to make these flowers, or something similar. I couldn't figure out what she was doing so I just kind of took what she shared and ran with it.
These are made from a square folded in half both ways, then folded corner to corner both ways. Fold it back altogether and cut the shape out. Here's where I did my own thing. I added the dots in the center and sponged on some color. She just drew on them with a sharpie. I like mine much better. hehe Poked a whole in centers and added some cool brads with gems on them. Found a branch in the yard and wrapped the gem backs around it. Set aside.
On a panel of white cs, I stamped a newly released Rubbernecker Stamp called vines. Stamped it several times all over.
Masked the bottom and sponged on the green hill. Used a Rosie Roadshow cloud stencil for the sky. Glued on my branch of flowers. Put this on a kraft card that I faux stitched the edges.
Well, hope you like my faux branch of flowers. Should have just brought a net full home from my last pool and glued them on a card. hehe......Have a great evening!....TFL :0)

This reminds me of a beautiful cherry blossom branch. Thankfully yours is preserved on this gorgeous card. My cherry blossoms in the yard are all dead due to the crazy, cold, snowy weather we have had. This is a beautiful card!

Love that REAL twig! Your flowers are great...from what you descibe, sounds like the old way to make snowflakes....only you fold something into thirds. I'm about as clear as mud, eh? Anyway, Love your rolling hills scene with the leafy "bower" overlay. I like your flowers too!...I'm sure you have inproved MS's version.
