I used a very thin coating of Aleen's Laminate it and applied the scrapbooking paper using a real paint brush, after allowing to dry fully for over an hour, add the 2nd coat of Aleens. Spray with a clear laquer spray to seal the paper and make it water proof. Trim the edges of the clipboard of any hanging paper with a razor blade. Add ribbons, E6000 to glue flower to metal clip. Added bits of adhesive corkboard, doubled and hot glued to give depth for flower thumbtacks. I used E6000 to permanently mount the calculator, as hot glue would pop off. I used hot glue to mount the ribbon going along the bottom. These clipboards were made for teachers Christmas gifts. They are totally functional as once you put the paper underneath the clip you have no interference from the ribbon or other embellies. I just tied the pen to the clip and also the cap of the pen with ribbon. Thanks for looking!
