I made this card for Shelli Gardner's creative challenge, centered around the theme of cupcake this month. I remembered we have a cupcake chipboard piece in the Mix & Match set, so I pulled it out and looked around my stash for some fun and sweet DSP to match with it. Found some remaining papers from the Love Ya set that fit the bill.
The scallop border is a second piece of chipboard that came from the same set. It was inked with White Craft ink, clear-embossed and decorated with rhinestones. A fabric brad from the mini was added at the left of the border.
I tied a piece of white lace at the top and added a few cross stitches on it to decorate. The In Stitches wheel was used on the pink polka dot paper to add a decorative border.
The bottom of the cupcake was decorated with a piece of paper that had been run in the crimper. The top of the cupcake was cut out of a piece of cardstock on which I tried the Mother of Pearl technique (as shown in the latest SS). Finally, I dyed a rosette with Teal ink and added it to the cupcake.
TFL!
