A few weeks back I was browsing Micheal's and came across a Tim Coffey Specialty Punch Out Pad loaded with gorgeous flowers to punch out and put together. I was playing with the pink roses in the pad and didn't like how when I layered them they had no "Life"...lol
I thought, oh no, what am I going to do with these beautiful flowers-to me they just didn't look good layered. So I took them apart, brought out my mister, wet them scrunched them, let them dry, distressed inked them, put them together, and glitter them and this is what I came up with. Aaaahhhh now they have some "Life"! After seeing the Technique Challenge I knew I would use these flowers and cut away the card where the leaves are. I scrunched up my dp in a ball then unrolled it and rubbed tea dye distress ink all over it. This is all new to me-I would never ball up dp ever...but it was fun and I like the effect-I wanted it to look old. I was so happy to play along.
Thanks for stopping by.
This card took me a couple of hours.

Carol, it was delightful to hear the story of how "the light came on" - and the drop-dead gorgeous results. Wonderful papers and colors, really like your foray into distress. I think that it wants you to come back soon, too! Thanks for sharing

Wow - I love this beautiful creation and the story of how it came into being. What fun - I can see you now misting and scrunching and applying ink and glitter - first there is a furrowed brow, then a critical eye, then a smile. This is really great Bearzi!

The extra time and effort you put into this creations is well worth it Bearz. I LOVE your beautiful flowers and the dp technique. Must have made you squirm to do that. Love the sentiment, leaves and all those special Bearzi details. WOW - you are da woman; however, I do detect there may be an error in how many hours it took you to make this. I'll have to send you a card with one of my hidden spy cameras to see what's really going on in your stamp room. BEWARE!!! Hey, you are one of the Annz aren't you? Carol Ann? See ya soon my distant fraternal twinz!
