First off, congrats to Elaine aka Quixotic for being the FS today. I must admit I haven't seen her work before. Boy I have missed a lot. I chose this to case. I mainly went with the colors not the theme......
Today is another Rubbernecker Stamps Preview.! RN will be releasing more NEW STAMPS this Tuesday the 29th. This is just one of manyÂ…Â…..detailsÂ…..
First, close your eyes and picture this. Okay, keep one open so you can read this. hehe .....It is a warm spring morning, the sun is shining and you have opened up the front door. Looking through your metal screen door, the kind you can see out but people canÂ’t see in, you see your potted plant on the porch with poppies in full bloom. Rather large poppies I might add. IsnÂ’t it just breath taking? Now, my cardÂ….
Hard to use just a bg stamp, but I didnÂ’t want to take away from it too much. I stamped it on white cs, clear eb. I punched out some flowers, a circle that I cut the top and bottom off to make it into a pot, some thin strips and a few leaves. Using removable tape, I place these over the stamped image as a mask.
Then I sponged all the various colors around the images making my scene so to speak. Removed the masks and placed on the reverse masks. Sponged the flowers and the pot. The stems and leaves were colored with copic markers. Removed all masks, added black buttons to the centers and white/black dots around the buttons.
Elaine, enjoy your day as the FS.....Hope everyone had fun visiting all the Rubbernecker Blogs. Come back tomorrow for another Preview of wonderful images! See you there!......TFL :0)
Hi Sis! Hi NC Sis!
P.SÂ…..did you find the $15 gift certificate hidden on one of the RN DTÂ’s blog ? If not, better go back! There will be another one hidden tomorrow. The fun just continues!...
