This is the card I made for the California/Alabama Line Challenge I play with Nancy (nwilliams6). It is my favorite, because there are no deadlines and no boundaries- and we just throw these at each other for inspiration. Nancy always makes me grow. This time Nancy challenged me to use the theme “dreams”, (real dreams, or dreams of the future, etc.) and the card had to have a critter (or fairy or something else? I forget!) And, the most difficult part of this challenge was to add three different hand made flowers! Aaaack, you know I depend on Hobby Lobby for blooms, but I did it- and that took the longest. Lol!
I can only remember one dream I had as a child- but it was most delightful and I had it a lot! I dreamed of flying, and in those dreams, I felt as if I really was flying. I caught air all over the valley where I lived, and was able to swoop down and drift- it was a wonderful and free feeling. So, my bird represents that feeling and is my critter of choice.
Using one of my favorite bird images from SU's Friends 24-7, and nesting him on ODBD's Spellbinder's, I added blooms made with different SU punches and added some lace.
Nancy, thanks for another great challenge. Hugs, and lymi!

Love the story about your childhood dreams flying all over the place - kinda like you do now???
Glad Nancy gives you a good stretch with a challenge!! That is good with no deadline - Bout time you caught a break,Sis!! LOL, but would you get anything done if you had no deadlines?? WOW, that takes discipline!!
Falling hard for this Spellbinder - wow, it really looks amazing - the stitching is as always wonderful, and your flowers - I see you fertilized and cultivated them well - they grew up to be really pretty!! Priyanka will be so proud of you!! LYMI!

This is beautiful. I too love this image. Your dp is beautiful too. I think your flowers turned out perfect. I found the machine with that beautiful stitch you use. You keep tempting me to buy it! Wouldn't that be silly of me to buy a machine for sewing cards because Lord knows I don't sew!!

Beautiful and soothing. I like that you made your own flowers, I thought they were bought ones. So you can do really well even if you rely on HL most of the time. lol
