This is my card for WT315 and it was a challenge - to not be able to use Black or Brown ink. Duh! I found out I DO have some other colors and I used my favorite of those. Stazon Olive Green.
I stamped the Hampton Arts Fashionistas image on what might be a scrap of True Thyme. Then I ran another green from a mat stack threw the CB and glued it on.
Here's where I may have cheated. I didn't have a stamp that I wanted to use with this image today, so I ran some business cards through my Print Shop program and made up a sentiment that I found in Cardmaker Magazine. It's green. I attached Tim Holtz flowers with a brad. I think it's cool.
We did get snow last night but try as I might I can't call this a Spring card. :( tfl

Those ladies remind me of one of the very few photos I ever had of my French grandmother. I'm trying to get it back from my dad, but I think he's *lost* it. I like the distressing on the embossing, too.
Funny that you've always coloured those birds black - I see them as swallows and I don't think I've ever used anything other than blue with a red breast, except silver to make a faux charm. Off now to see if you have any cards in your gallery with black birds :D
