Well, even though it took me forever, it was fun to put together and I love how it turned out. This is my card for technique challenge #317.
We have an extremely limited supply of anything newsprint at our house, since we stopped receiving any newspapers a number of years ago. Now the only thing we get is local ads and most of those are colored. I did manage to find one page in black and white and half was a recipe, which is what I ended up using because I messed up the other half.
I also used some corrugated cardboard. I ripped off one smooth side, so the inside texture would show and then I cut leaves from the piece I'd removed. I inked the rough side with tangerine tango and it looks like rusty metal - cool.
The flowers are a combination of embrace life (2 bottom layers) and fifth avenue floral (top layer), sponged with marina mist & pacific point.
The background is stamped with 3 background stamps.

I love how you used the newsprint and the cardboard, but my favorite element are those gorgeous flowers! They are so pretty, I would've never thought to use them together like this. Wow!
