Denise gave us a lovely sketch challenge done by lisa lara this week. CONGRATULATIONS CLOTHES LINE (SNEAK PEEK) by lisa lara at Splitcoaststampers
Quite a nice sketch to work with, very versatile and I think this will be a go-to sketch for me. I really, really, really tried to not go over the top, but this is certainly a little more than CAS. Sorry.
Stamped the lovely Siberian Iris from Flourishes in Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. Sponged with Tattered Rose and Desert Sand, cut with Nestie, pierced the scallops and sponged with artichoke and Galaxy Gold. Matted with a Soft Suede Nestie. Cut a square of Artichoke and ran through a Tim Holtz EF. Tied a ribbon from my stash 'round it and adhered all to a Flourishes cream card with BG Bittersweet BG. Added the pearls. PT - 2, will add 1 more for the sentiment.
Thanks so much for looking and have a peaceful day.

beautiful card, I remember when I was very young, my first favorite flowers were the iris that seem to grow wild around our home. I just remember how tall and grand they seemed. Wonderful coloring, TFS

Wowzerz Marzi - you nailed this one. What a fantastic take on the CAS sketch this week. It's hard for me to go all CAS most of the time too. I really want to try my hand at that sketch, but doubt I will have time to. Every aspect of this, from the gorgeous colored flower, to the dp, ef and ribbon are exceptional. WOW!
