Connie, Stamp300, is the QFTD (week). What a sweet and talented stamper she is! I love lots of her cards, but I narrowed it down to this one for my case:
I intended to do some type of lattice work, but nothing I tried looked good so I just scored some lines which you can't really see. I tried to make smaller flowers to fit on this label die, but they ended up much larger than I expected. So in the end, my card looks nothing like it did in my mind...fortunately, I like it anyway.
Thanks for the inspiration Connie. This card is going to my stampin' buddy, Joan. She is my step-sister's Aunt so she is family too. She just had her second hip replacement and swears she will be walking next week - I believe she will too. That is one determined and incredibly sweet lady! I can't wait to give her this card and a great big hug.
PT - 4 SB dies used 27 times (Debzi, if Fruitcake has you count my punch tally again, the flowers have 8 layers each).
P.S. If anyone is interested in learning to make these flowers - check out Jerri Kay's blog - A Touch of Grace - her flowers are so much better than mine and she has a bunch of instructions with beautiful pictures - plus she makes the most beautiful things with flowers:

Stunning, stunning and OMGoodness, may I say it again, Nancy, these bold blooms are absolutely STUNNING. They stand alone and I think you have done a stellar job regardless of what anybody elses look like!! I know Jerri is a SUPERB designer, and you have done this technique proud. I love how you used the spellbinder as your easel stop.

May I come to your house to learn how to make these flowers? I had to read it over twice to be sure that they weren't manufactured...so, so pretty with those colors and the stickles.
Absolutely gorgeous card all around.
