The Anniversary Challenge on ODBD is to use leather or pearls. Well, I decided to make a leather-look card for one of DH's biker friends who's going to be 40 this weekend.
A2 black base. I made an A2 sheet of faux croc using a technique I saw on a Stamper Dog video a long time ago. Essentially you cover the whole sheet of card with Versamark and then clear EP; then you use a bone-folder to score the lines before melting the EP. With the black it was hard to get the contrast to actually show up - I wiped it with some white pigment ink and then wiped the excess ink off. Stitched round the edges using some of the colours from their badge. Added photo corners punched from an aluminium tray. Image panel is a verse from Scripture Series 1 stamped on white card with Versafine black. I positioned the Labels 10 die and then stamped the single line from Flower Frames 2. Cut and embossed the panel, sponged with blue and edged with a silver pen. I added tiny gems to the flower centres, set snaps at the ends of the label and popped it up on foam. The guy this is going to has two autistic kids - life isn't easy for him, and biking is his *me time*.
I will try to replace this with a better photo tomorrow - all that shine makes it hard at night.

Awesome Sabrina!! I love your leather, and especially the verse, your friend will surely love this card...I did my leather in the cuttle bug, and like you used the versamark, sure works good... your stitching sure add alot too.
