Way back when I lived in Colorado, DH made me this cool trellis out of a 2 X 8 piece of wood. Took his saw and made several cuts then wet the wood and spread out the pieces nailing them to another board. It was so cool. Today I have made my own trellis just like DH's only I used cs, scissors and glue dots. Plus I put it on a card and not the house. hehe......details....
To make the trellis that I practically hid on my card, I cut three 1" strips of cs, glued them together, then made three cuts long-wise from top to about 1" from the bottom. Cut three small strips for the cross ones. Spread out the strips putting glue dots on each one then added my thin strip. The next two were much easier. So glad I didn't have to nail them! hehe Oh, sponged on some color after I made them.
Made a bg panel using alcohol inks. Stamped Rubbernecker wildflowers using stazon black. Glued on my trellis.
Stamps some Rubbernecker floral set for the flowers. Colored them with copics, then cut out. Put them on my trellis popping up the flowers.
Now, have your ever taken a soup can, cut it open and made it into a plant holder that you nail on a fence? Me neither, but I have wanted too. Today I made a faux one and stuck it on my card. Used metal repair tape, mosaic tape, and a stylus for the groves. Shaped it and put it on my card adding enamel accents for the nails. Also put in some of that moss stuff to keep my flowers moist. hehe
Put this all on a white AC card addidn the tiny black dots. Wish I would have sponged the edges but forgot. Oh well.
Joan, thanks for a great challenge. Here's hoping everyone has a great week!.....TFL :0)
