My sister has a long time friend who was burned badly last week while she was cooking with oil that caught on fire. She has a long painful recovery ahead of her. I wanted to make a card that would bring just a little bit of cheer to her. So I took extra time with this card. I loved the trellis challenge that Joan gave us. I was playing with scraps last week trying to figure out something similar, but I'll admit it didn't look as great as Joan's. So I decided to go with Joan's technique. I quilled the roses and hand cut the vine and leafs. I added 2 Mark's Finest Papers butterflies, pearls and brads. I sewed around the edges. The inside of the card has a sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers set called GREET THE DAY WITH GERBER. If you would like to see a close up of the butterflies or to see the inside of the card, check it out here on MY BLOG ***Warning I have music on my blog***
