For the challenge I distressed the edges with ink, with a tool and added some stitches to the straight borders. And if it counts I also added faux brads to the scalloped edge.
Prismacolor pencils and baby oil were used to color the flowers and shade around them. They are also embossed using a metal ball stylus by scoring the outline on the front then flip it over to emboss while the image lies on a folded paper towel for cushion.
Ink distressing was done on all layers being careful not to touch the flowers.
Tool distressing was lightly done with a paper perforator on the designer paper and border under it. I also left the corners of the paper loose and roughed them up with fingernails.
The stitching was done with a needle and thread after piercing holes. The ends are taped to the back of the panel.
The buttons are Sizzix die cut and embossed with the Cuttlebug and the Fancy Corners small folder set and Stampin Up Square Lattice. They were also ink distressed and each one was two layers of cardstock. Sewn to the card with needle and thread, end also tape to the back side.
The faux brads on the scalloped layer are cut using the Tiny Tags die from Cuttlebug. I squeeze out some glue on non-porous paper, touch a corsage pin to the glue then to the back of the faux brad and place on the card panel, press down with the finger and pull away the pin then slide into place.
The insert and envelope were both stamped in pink with the border from the set which is very easy to line up. I also used the Scor Pal to emboss double lines above the stamped border.
