This card is for a fellow punchie whose b/day is this month. She and I both have this bird stamp and have been having "bird" creation competitions. Not really, but we both loved this $1 Michael's bird.
I took a Zindorf brayering class last month and have tried to use what I learned there for this scenic b/ground. I still have a way to go to perfect this. The b/g on the image was supposed to be light and springy; however, it lost it's way somehow. So, it's a funky mix of darks and lights. And, no, the white gel pen highlights aren't snow, just accents. I've got a lot to still learn.
I sprinkled the bird with dazzling diamonds and colored it's wing in more mustard. I added the trees, grass, sprinkle of little flowers, sky, sun and b/flies to the image panel. Popped up the bird on dimensionals and the main image mat on dimensionals also.
I added a muscial score b/g stamp to the mid border punched panel which qualifies this for the StampinB Challenge to make a musical card.
The rest is pretty self-explanatory. Please don't laugh at my first Zindorf attempt. It's a work in progress.
Thanks for taking a look and have a great Friday.

Zee Fruitcakez Zecret Blog Entry #4:
Sorry to say, our punchie prez, Benzi, is beside herself with jealousy as I met my first SCS IRL, Audzi, and went with her to the Zindorf brayering class.
Being that I have discovered that Audzi is my 11-month older twin zizter, I am sure Benzi will butt in and say she's the long lost triplet. She tends to butt her way into everything I have going and this is no way to act as prez. I am sure b/t myself and my twinzi, Benzi will be ouzted from office sooner than she thinks! And there waz NO triplet born to zee Momzi - only twinz! I hope Benzi doesn't steam with jealousy when I meet with Audzi at her home on 3/12 to practice brayering together. She'll probably fly in with her supposed jet to ruin our fun.

Wow Pamzi this is pretty awesome. I think you really really learned something in that class!!! So you "can" teach an old dog new tricks, hey!!!! lol No seriously, this is astounding. This is a new style of yours that I want to see more of. I envy that you accomplished this beautiful piece. I have been wanting to do this. I didn't know you did it with a brayer. I did one card and sponged it....lol I am going to see if I can find a You-Tube video for sure. I live out in the hicks so no classes here on anything. I want to take a copics class but there will not be one in the "City" until September. Great card.

Oh, you made me a birthday card and it isn't even my birthday month. It has to be mine with that adorable birdie on there. I sure hope I haven't missed anyone's birthday because I just don't know who else likes birds that is having a March b'day. Ooh, the other twin, being you, is really getting good with that brayer. And, just look at that sun. I'll have to say, it is a super card, Pamzi. Hmmm, glad you gave me that date, Pam. You can bet the triplet will be there. Oh, I'm not scared about being ousted as Prez. You've tried that one before...didn't work...never will. LOL Why am I in every blog entry?????? Ha
Awesome card, Pamzi!

You have created a fabulous scene on this card, Mz. Pamzi Love how you incorporated various stamps and well done on the sky - you must have been paying attention in class I do believe I have that little birdie myself...going to have to dig him out and let him sing for Spring to come.

What a cute little bird in a very pretty brayered and sponged BG. Someone was listening to Michelle! Did you get a cool stamp set at the class! I had Michelle sign my scrap paper! I meant to mail it to Ms Ryan and I forgot! I guess I need to take a memory class next...

Pamzi, this is so pretty. I have been on the lookout for your first brayering attempt after the class and it is fabulous. I think it looks like a spring evening - the moonlight or last sunlight glittering off the leaves and the little bird so happy he made it through another day (birds have it so tough with all the predators and dangers out there).
If I had a jet and some time, I would fly there and butt in on the 12th myself - just saying!
