I made this card for my husband for our 26th anniversay coming up next week. All items used are from SU! excepting the page from an old book. The page was torn, distressed and sponged with early espresso & close to cocoa. The paper strip was done on soft suede cardstock and I texture-ized it with a textured plate from kit #4. The paper was a little too light for my liking so I ran the early espresso ink pad over the texture, then lightly sponged the entire piece with early espresso ink to make it a bit darker. My husband's favorite color is blue so I very, very lightly sponged some baja breeze on the nature walk bird. The eye on the punch potpourri bird is the very smallest pearl from basic pearls. I think I should have moved the "lady bird" down just a titch. Oh, and I put the lady bird on double layer dimensionals so it was not on the same level as the male bird (single layer dimensionals).
The inside of card basically said that even though we are two birds of a different feather - together we can be one tough bird to wreckin with!
As always, your work is so detailed and beautiful! Great card for a great event - congratulations on 26 years of marriage and many more to you. Keep the cards coming - love what you do! Oh, and love YOU, too!
