What a great challenge! I loved Hawaii and the colors and scenery there are just amazing. I had just finished writing my post for this card and was going to upload it when I saw Wendy's challenge. Is that lucky or what? This suncatcher image reminds me so much of the colorful flora in Hawaii.
The Suncatcher was stamped twice and colored w/ markers. One was die cut w/ a circle die and I cut out just the flowers from the second image and layered them on top of the base image. After using an embossing folder on a piece of white c/s, I layered it onto a larger turq. piece and then onto the 4.25 x 5.5 white card. Using the same circle die, I cut out a circular window through the layered card front and attached my image on the inside of the card.
I die cut a lacy circle frame out of turquoise and attached it on top of the opening. A paper crimper was used on the ends of the turquoise band and the greeting (w/ rounded corners) was attached on top. The main sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card and stickles was added to the flowers.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups and the inside/open view of my card are on the DRS blog today. My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Such a beautiful card! The embossed bg looks just wonderful and that window framing the flowers looks fantastic!

Wow! This is gorgeous! I love the tropical looking flowers and I love the window you put this beautiful image in! I love the embossing and seeing as turquoise is my favourite color, I love the touches of that color!
