Okay, is it "gray" or "grey"? What is the difference? Anyway, I used one of them. hehe I just love the look of gray with color. WOW! Thanks Kim for the challenge which helps remind us that there are other neutrals than white/black/kraft........
It was soooo cold today cleaning pools. I actually had to put my gloves on. I hate putting my gloves on, just makes everything hard to do plus it slows you down. Can't believe they are predicting a dusting of snow either late tonight or early morning. Did I mention I live in Sacramento California. Yikes! That's mighty cold for here.......my card....
My sister took a class yesterday and shared the info with me over the phone. Here how is goes, I stamped my image with versamark, then white ep it. Colored with re-inkers. Don't my flowers look pretty? I then cut them out and set aside.
I then stamped a CHF gingham bg stamp using basic gray clear ep'ing it. Sponge the edges with basic gray and the middle with sunset orange. Layered this with white AC cs that I doodled on the edges.
Took gray AC cs, stamped the same image using versamark clear eb'ing it. Ran through the cb then sponged the edges adding the ribbon to it. Put this on an orange AC card that I sponged the edges with sunset orange. Put my first layer over the ribbon, then popped up the flowers.
Well I am finally warmed up!.....from the cold day at work. Hope you are having a great day.....TFL :0)

Hehehe. I had to go look up gray/grey in the dictionary one time as I was confused as to which way it was supposed to be spelled! Turns out they're both correct! Whew! LOL! Love how you created the background piece with the grey/gray. This is a great color combo too!!

Only in the english language can one word be spelled two ways with the same meaning .... LOL
Either way, your card is lovely!! Your watercoloring is really beautiful, I love how the flowers pop. I really love the gingham background, it turned out fabulous! As did the double embossed under layer.

yes your flowers look beautiful. They look great with grey too! The class I took we did not cut out the flowers so the entire open space is white.....I know I just heard the thug....you cannot have any card show white. you are too funny. this is beautiful though. I love the flowers accented in white. I might just have to try YOUR technique. tfs.
hugs, sis.
