Sheesh, you wouldn't think I'd read Joan's tutorial twice AND checked out one of my needlework books. It wasn't till I was looking through the gallery while on the phone to my dad that I realised I offset my strips too much the first time.
Luckily there were enough left to have another go - now this does look more like Bargello should, and encourages me to give it another go. More haste, less speed...
A2 base, papers My Mind's Eye Bloom and Grow cut into 1/4" strips. Lace added round the edge and layered onto a base sponged with brown. Various Primas added (on a mission to use them!) with pearls.
Sentiment was stamped, cut with Labels 10, centre sponged with Antique Linen, Canvas stamped on with Vintage Photo and edges sponged with pink.
