Made this for the principal at the kids school for Christmas, he's a reading freak just like my kids so they asked me to make him a book buddy. He loves dogs so I thought this set was perfect for him.

How cool! What exactly is a book buddy? I get the bookmark, but is the pen and notepad to jot down notes about the book you're reading? *putting on dunce cap* lol

Ditto...it's adorable. But what is a book buddy? And is it made completely of cardstock? Or is there matboard or something more durable? More details please! Jane

That about it...it's a book mark, a pen to jot down notes and the post it note... works wonders when kids have to do a book report or even a Bible study. You can stick the post-it notes right on the pages for future references. I saw one on here that was made with the mini post-it-notes (it was 4 flaps) but I just have the 3x3 size pads, the pens I got a set of 12 (assorted colours) for a buck at the dollar store. It's made with regular CS (10.5x4.25- scored at 3.5 & 7) and tied together with ribbon. So for the cost of 6 sheets of CS and some scraps, odd buttons flying around the house, scraps of ribbons,$1 for the pens, and $2 for 20 post-it-note pads I'm able to make 12 of these cuties.
