Kim's challenge this week is to stamp a silhouette in black. I love silhouette stamps so this was a fun one for me.
Brayered Baja Breeze on top half of Flourishes cream CS panel, masking the sun with a 1 3/8" circle. Masked the bottom half and stamped flourishes Clouds in Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry over the sky.
Masked the top and brayered Baja Breeze and River Rock over the bottom part of the image panel, removing the circle mask for the last pass. Sponged the sun in Crushed Curry and sponged some Pink Pirouette at the horizon. Stamped the silhouette from Flourishes Kids at Play in Tuxedo Black and extended the horizon line with a Copic 0.1mm Multiliner. Matted with Bazzill green CS. Ran a piece of Summer Sun CS through the Tim Holtz EF and mounted. Cut a piece of adhesive cork with the 1 3/8 punch, then a scrap of red with the SU ornament punch. Trimmed the red to fit the circle, stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black then mounted all on a cream card.
When I read the challenge this morning I knew what image I wanted to use, and a germ of an idea grew for an Operation Write Home card...this seems to me to be a good deployed-dad-to-son card, so I hope to make 6-8 more today, but I'll probably change the card color. Thank you so much for looking and have a peaceful day.
