Color scheme arose from need of green for frog and from wanting to make a sort of scene, so light blue for sky, green for frog and grass, dark blue as accent color on panel and mushroom, and white flowers to tie the card base color to main panel.
Summary of steps- Embossed the light blue layer (4"x5 1/4" completely. Then, embossed a scrap of dark blue cardstock with same embossing folder and cut out some hearts; some I ran through xyron and then covered in fine microbeads and sprinkled a bit of glitter. These hearts cut out of dark blue cardstock were placed randomly over the embossed area of the light blue main cardstock panel to break the monotony. The heart just on top of the frog was covered in glitter. Stamped froggy on green cardstock, and the mushroom on dark and light blue, then cut out light blue bit and glued it to underside of dark blue mushroom (paper piecing). Cut three 4" long strips of green cardstock, and with a scissor that cuts a grass border, went through one of the horizontal sides. Layered them, and placed the mushroom on, over a bit of mounting tape. Added mounting tape to back of froggy and sat him on top of mushroom.Cut out backs of brads and glued the brad circles on paper flowers, which I then placed on the field of grass. The sentiment is on a panel of dark blue cardstock, which was drawn around the borders with the glue pen and was sprinkled with glitter, and the word "love" was traced over with glue pen and covered in glitter as well. Placed one last flower, in the sentiment panel.
As I handled the cut-out hearts, a few bits of microbeads and glitter came off, which I fixed after taking the pic, as I didn't notice until the flash highlighted the empty spots. I then made an A2 box to place the card in, as an envelope would probably rub against glitter and beads and make them fall off.
Thanks for looking!
