The current Stamping in Time assignment with ODBD is to create a card using distressing techniques and send it to someone *in distress* who could do with a bit of encouragement. It was a very timely challenge; DH was talking to a friend we both used to work with this evening. She's been on long-term sick leave from her job, and during all the snow and ice she slipped and dislocated two discs. Because she suffers a lot of pain from arthritis she didn't realise for a couple of weeks how much damage the fall had done, so now she's laid up in bed. This card will go postal to her tomorrow.
A2 base, sponged with Walnut Stain. Next layer is Core'dinations embossed with Floral Screen and sanded. I distressed the edges heavily and then added some lace and a WRMK ribbon slide with added bling. Sentiment layer is cream card, stamped with Flower Frames 2 in Forest Green and a verse from Scripture Collection 1 in Stormy Sky. I stamped over it all with Weathered in Milled Lavender, and then distressed the edges. It's popped up on foam, then I added green Distress Stickles to the frame, tiny bling on the flower centres and three little butterflies punched from an old tube of tomato paste.
