Remember that old Glenn Campbell song ? Well ever since I saw the teapot for today's challenge I can't get it out of my head. Now why my subconscious decided to go in that direction is anyone's guess. But it did and I have no control. The teapot is a beautiful blue....like the sky and sea. The destination for our tea party today is Nebraska. Sean is a young man fighting a very seious cancer.
He loves all things that fly..........planes, helicopters, flags, banners, insects and birds. In the world of my card.......we have sails that make you feel like you are "flying" across the water. And seagulls flying along with the ships. If we had a back door today I'm sure da mudder would make me come through it.........
I love the sentiment on this card and I hope Sean will too !!

OMG! Okay, so no back door for you but only because you are our back up transportation...but who am I to arque, sails and seagulls do fly! Tee hee! Sean will be loving this too...I just know it! I love that stamp set..I bought it cheap, at a garage sale/stampers thingy! I must find a schooner teapot! We could do some dangerous deep sea crab fishing!
I love this! Your card rocks! Very masculine and very nice sentiment for Sean!

Now, why didn't I (lover of all things nautical) think of that! Great ship... with sails unfurled and flying thru the wind and waves and love your twine... reminds me of a ship's rigging. Great guy card, and Sean will be very touched by your thoughtfulness!

Love the nautical take on this teapot challenge!! "...sails that make you feel like you are flying..." way to go - this is spot on, the nestie you used reminds me of a porthole, and what a beautiful sentiment to go with it for Sean!!
No back door for you - LOVE this interpretation!!

You have me wishing I'd thought of birds. I think this sort of scene is so tranquil and peaceful. Most of the stuff on our walls is photos and embroideries, but one of the few prints I bought was a sailing ship. It's a great guy card too, with the twine and houndstooth and simple, effective layout.
