I created this bright and colorful card on a cold and gloomy day. It's a simple card that doesn't incorporate any stamping.
I scored bright orange cardstock at the top so that the card opens from the bottom. The front of the card is decorated with hearts and ovals in vivid orange and yellow cardstock. These components were created using an oval punch and scalloped heart Nestabilities.
I selected a striped paper to use as a background for the heart and oval elements. It was affixed to yellow cardstock punched with a decorative edge. The heart and oval components were popped up from the surface of the card to give it dimension.
The inside of the card is a panel of white cardstock decorated with a strip of the striped paper and an orange heart. This heart is also popped up from the surface of the card.
I also handcrafted a coordinating envelope from heavy cover stock. An orange heart on a yellow oval was sponged in the lower left corner using punched cardstock for stencils.
