I decided, since we are snowed in, that I should do SOME stamping and that snowflakes were an appropriate subject! Since I need a birthday card for my niece, I went that direction.
The technique, embossing on dry embossing, is harder than it sounds! Brayering the versamark on the embossing without getting it on every part of the cardstock is tricky! I spent at least 5 minutes brushing off the excess before I heat embossed. Looking at the picture, I see that 10 minutes may have been called for!
The sketch challenge seemed perfect for this card. Simple colors and layout to go over the double embossed background. A little snowflake brad adds a bit of interest.
Not my best work but not necessarily destined for the trash bin, either. My niece will appreciate it. Or, at least, she'll appreciate the enclosed check! :-)

Michelle...it was so good to see your smiling face in my gallery. Thank you so much for stopping by. I always smile when I see you around the gallery, you are one of the first to have commented on my cards, so you hold a special place in my little "crafter's heart".
I sure love this snowstorm. The white embossing looks fabulous. Really good job with the sketch my dear. We did have alot of snow here in Qubec also...finally. But I can't say that I'm sad to see it go. Spring...ahhh, what a beautiful season. Happy spring Michelle. xo
