For today's teapot challenge we're to bring cherries!
Because evidently today's the first day of National Cherry Month or International Cherry Month, I can't remember. But I'm fairly sure that Cindy (Mothermark) is a distant relative (or maybe a close relative?) of the author of Dr. Suess books - there must be a genetic connection, your brains work the same way, and the results are incredibly fun and zany stories!!
Our cards this week are created to encourage Cindy's niece, who's been going through very difficult circumstances recently.
I stamped the cherry stems and sentiment in Old Olive and also the dots bg on green gingham dp. I used Nesties Circles and sponged while still in the die with Certainly Celery. Added a CHERRY (!!) cobbler scalloped circle and offset it on the card, thanks to inspiration from this layout by Karen (k dunbrook): IC269, Missing the Garden by k dunbrook at Splitcoaststampers dunbrook
I added dots with a white gel pen, and red dotted ribbon and bow.
