It's Teapot Tuesday again, and this one is all about Cherries.
CHERRY the III is a fruity nerd
He's up against Jerry Jo Cherry
The competition is stiff
But I'm rootin' for Jerry
Cuz' I just got a whiff
of a pie from Jerry Jo Cherry'
The aroma is sweet
It makes me want to eat
all of Jerry Jo Cherry'
sweet ripe cherries
wow, that's really bad...
I'm bringing the cherry blossoms to this Tea Party. After all, you don't get the cherries without the blossoms... I did get a pair of cherries stamped on the inside and envelope though.
I'm home once again and on my own computer. The visit with my Mom was good, she's got her BP under control once again and I've stocked her freezer with enough soup for about a month.
It's good to be back to watch the hummingbirds antics. The females are collecting the cotton, but no nests are within viewing this year. The hummers are so fun to watch. One just collected a beak full of cotton and then tried to get a drink. It doesn't work too well that way. I'm going to have to try and get a photo of the collecting hummers. It's quite a sight.
Anyhow, this paper embroidery cherry blossom was done at Mom's. The inside was colored with Prisma pencils. Faith was stamped and embossed. The butterfly is ribbon tied together with embroidery floss.

More beautiful stitchery! It looks lovely on the watercolour paper too, for added texture. Glad your mum is doing OK - bet she'll enjoy all that soup.
Do let me know if you get a photo of the birds collection their cotton, I love watching our birds. No humming birds here, alas.

I agree it belongs in a frame. That was such a great thing you did to fill your Mom's freezer with soup. When you read the salt levels on a canned type soup it's through the roof, you couldn't have picked a better food to help with.

OMG... this is absolutely beautiful! Love your embroidery around the cherry blossoms. Clever ribbon butterfly. Great story about the hummingbirds too. I've never seen them gathering nesting material.
