This card is for Cindy's niece who needs a bit of cheering up.
Poor Jerry Jo grew thousands of Cherries and he had no money for marketing them. Well as luck would have it he was so scared the whole lot would go rotten he bought a whole bunch of jars and canned them. He totally misread his mom's recipe for canned cherries and "Jerry Jo's Maraschino Cherries" was born. The rest is history.
I have packed a lot of my patterned paper so the black striped paper is painstakingly hand drawn. Thankyou Cindy for posting a Teapot for which I had a great stamp set, Crafty Secrets "Kitchen Classics" The cherries and ribbon roses have glossy accents on them. The white eyelet layer is embossed in white and has a little spot of distress ink old paper touched to the edges.

Wow, such a pretty card, Elizabeth! The cherries and roses are so gorgeous and your handdrawn DP is awesome! By "packing," I assume you are in the process of a move - so, good luck!!

Your card is just gorgeous. Wow. The roses and the glazed cherries on the black and white paper are perfect to go with the tea pot. Great job on your paper.

Well done with the hand-drawn stripes. They look perfect to me. I remember painting stripes for one card and they didn't look as good as yours, which was why I opted for the ticking stamp today . The eyelet layer I just love - is that a die?
And of course the red cherries and roses are so sweet too.
Packing? Are you moving or something?

OMG... your embossed eyelet layer is fantastic! It looks just like antique lace. I'm really impressed with your steady hand too... the stripes are perfect! Beautiful card Elizabeth!

WOW! I can't draw a straight line even if I use a ruler! This is FABULOUS! Love the shiny cherries and the roses and sentiment frame look as though they have dew drops on them!
