Boy, did I have a lot of fun with this one! Verve is hosting it's new Diva Dare with a them of Baby Love. I have a baby shower at work in about a week and I wanted to make something special for the mommy-to-be. I got the idea to make a mobile, so I set out to work!
I made all of the little mobile units first with cute little animals and backed them with hearts. I was proud of myself for remembering that the heart die was not symmetrical and I needed to turn my patterned paper over to get the heart to fit together properly. I then used some scor-tape to adhere my ribbon in between the two paper hearts. I tied the varying lengths of ribbon to the inner circle of an embroidery hoop. Then I lined the inside and the outside of the hoop with scor-tape and wrapped my satin ribbon around the hoop.
{Did I mention that scor-tape is my best friend?}
Then I stitched three lengths of satin ribbon to the hoop and together at the top to make a loop from which to hang the mobile.
