My CAS103 "Swirls" card using the new Real Red Glimmer Paper and Love Impressions Specialty Designer Paper from the SU Occasions Mini. The only stamping was the sentiment from the retired Holidays & Wishes set. I think it has a pretty swirl type of font.
I made the ribbon rose from the SU real red 1/8" taffeta ribbon. I am including a link to my very close friend "Suen" card. Sue has made several ribbon rose cards and includes the link to the tutorial for the flower. It is a really fun technique and you can use diff. widths of ribbon to get diff. sizes of flowers.
I also used another new technique to me. I die cut 3 Clear Scallop Rectangles. One in the Pink Pirouette DP, Two in the R. Red Glimmer paper. I then cut one glimmer paper horizontally thru the middle and one vertically down the middle. Then attached to the pink layer so they form a nice little scallop frame. I saw this tech. on Stamping 411 blog. Here is the link to "How to Build a Scallop Mat" : http://stamping411.blogspot.com/2011...allop-mat.html
Don't you just love what you learn on SCS? Thanks Sue and friends for making stamping so much fun with all your sharing :-)
Enjoy this simple 4 1/4" X 4 1/4" sq. CAS card.

Beautiful, Nancy! I love the pink, red and white color combination and that wonderful ribbon rose! It looks great done in the red taffeta, with the white edges, along with your clever scallop frame and sparkly flourish!
