Wake up, everyone! It's Teapot Tuesday! This week it's all about pink and blue for two! Two what? Two babies....as in twins....a boy and a girl. We're making baby cards for Kokirose's grandbabies born earlier this month, Sydney and Austin.
Bring baby cards using both pink and blue and you get extra points for having two of something on your cards. And you get extra, extra points for throwing in a monkey on your card!
Well, I hardly have any baby stamps, let alone monkey stamps, but I did use:
1. pink and blue
2. two embossing folders
3. two hearts
4. two brads
5. two ribbons
6. on the inside two stamped baby images (see other upload for inside view)
I made this a gatefold card. I'm not real clear on how the overlapping sentiment panel is suppose to help keep your card closed because mine didn't. Therefore, I punched two holes in the sentiment panel and the blue panel to lightly tie it closed.
Congratulations to Kyle and Carlie on their newest additions to their little family!
Watch out teapotters. I saw Bertie earlier with a wagon load of baby bottles, and she filled them with m&ms!

Oh yeah right......it wouldn't stay closed....you are probably just keeping the door shut so your monkeys that you don't have don't escape and you can fling em later! Ha ha!
This card rocks Bertie! I love it...you are always trying new stuff, and it pays off with some wunnerful cards! I love this and I betcha the inside is awesome too!
Glad to see you this week......now that you are done partying! Giggle! Congrats on your retirement and happy belated burfday! Thanks for the video link!

Charlene, this is so cute! But I'm watching out for Bertie... know how she loves to fling those M&M's... but then again that's my fav thing that she flings! And I bet she's really helping you stamp and create now that she's done that retirement thingy.....

I am impressed that after your retirement party you had enough energy to make this eye catching card. The gatefold is a great idea and the ribbon a perfect closure.

I like the contrasting texture - this looks like a closet for keeping all the twins clothes in.
Personally I've never found that the panel helps keep the card closed, not unless you tuck half of it under one panel - which is hard without bending the card and anyway doesn't work when there's an image or a sentiment on it. But I think the ribbons really add a lot to this anyway, so who cares!
