I liked the popped up baby animal images on the three squares and Emily's simple layout. I decided to use the three squares but changed the size of the card, the image and color combination. It seemed I couldn't quite keep to the simple single layer card base as I kept adding and adding. My Heart Envelope was stamped with versa on watercolor paper and embossed with gold. I watercolored the images and cut out. The envelope portion of the image was cut out and layered over the base image. I was originally going to keep the embossed cream layer simple with only the three blocks but it looked so plain that I had to add the red scalloped borders.
Here is a hint to avoid TROUBLE. Make very sure your red ink is DRY before you start assembling your project. It seems red reinker takes a lot longer to dry even if it is heated. I had this card almost completed and smeared red ink over a couple of the envelopes. One could be fixed with a wet wipe but one had to be redone. Even after all that I smeared a little of the red ink again but figured it was as good as it was going to get.

You are a Master! Love this! So striking! And, thanks for the heads up on letting the red ink dry ~ I hear you on the frustrations with that untimely smudge just as you are about to add the 'finishing touch' to a card. Glad that you were able to save at least one of those sweet envelopes. Love the look of that red punched border against the dotted white.
