This was a REALLY fun card to make - I have had the Kimono Kid set forever, and never used it! I think Jenna used it once a long time ago, but not me. I was thinking about Barbies just now. When I was a little girl there was one Christmas where all I wanted for Christmas was a Barbie doll. My mom kept telling me we couldn't afford one, but maybe she could buy me one of those imitation Barbies. Those were so not cool, so I wasn't even looking forward to Christmas because I didn't want my mom to know I would hate my gift. On Christmas morning, I woke up and opened this one big box which much to my delight was a Barbie AND a Ken, with complete wardrobes for each. And if that wasn't enough my grand mother had made me an entire wardrobe of clothes for her. I remember that as one of my happiest Christmas's ever. When I watch the movie Christmas Story every single year with my family where Ralphie gets his red rider bee bee gun (sp?) I always always think of the year my mom surprised me with Barbie and Ken. I think Barbie probably evokes happy memories to every little girl in some way or another. This was my inspiration:
I thought about doing this challenge all day. I am such a fan of this challenge. Tomorrow Jenna and I are gonna stamp together. Can't wait!! Hope you like my Asian inspired card, my little doll there doesn't look much like a Barbie, but that's okay with me. Have a great Saturday everyone and stay warm!! It's like 1 below zero here.....ugh! Even too cold to get into the hot tub.....though it sure would feel fine! I'm babbling now....and it's bedtime.....night all!~

OMG...this is really a WOW creation!! Too, too cute! Love the added texture to the BG and the touches of gold in the brads and charm...just gorgeous! My mother thought Barbie was too voluptuous, so I got a Tammy doll instead - lol! I was just as happy because she took the time to sew lots of extra outfits for her. Happy memories!

Oh Karen, this is wonderful! I love that the background matches her little dress, she's adorable!! I don't know if we'll be able to stand it waiting to see what you and Jenna come up with tomorrow. Sounds like a blast, adopt me??
