My 2nd CAS102 card using the simple, yet fabulous sketch from cindybstampin'. It makes for a quick and easy, yet very nice card.
I gave my main image a bit of a vintage look with the colors and sponging. I did color the flower and stems with my markers after stamping the heart with Soft Suede. I stamped the background layer with the retired "Flannel Plaid" background stamp then distressed the edges. Sponging the layers adds softness and a more vintage look.
I scrunched the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding by pulling on the center thread. I applied to sticky strip and tucked the ends under the top layer of the card. The W White 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 layer was then attached to the main cardstock. This way you can hide the ribbon ends.
I think this card could be used as a thank you, thinking of you or b-day card. I will finish the inside after I decide, which occasion.
Enjoy and thanks again Cindy for a great sketch.

Now THIS is absolutely perfect, Nancy! I love everything about this one. It's so cozy, sweet and warm between that retired Flannel stamp and the cool ribbon treatment.

I love the soft look of this; the sponging adds so much. Very nice!

I love this one too! The ribbon is really beautiful! I'm going to have to try to do that! I love the flowers colored on the heart, the sponging on the plaid piece and that little green button! TFS

What a great card - you made it while making dinner - now that is multi-tasking at its best! I love the sketch and your little flowers are so sweet. Great job my friend!
