I created a second card for this week's Stamping in Time Challenge over on ODBD (SNTODBD26) "All Creatures Great and Small. On this sketch I used the ODBD Graduation stamp set .
I stepped out of my comfort zone on this one by using one of SCS tutorial's on "out of the box with nestabilities". It was really easy once I got the hang of it. I stamped my image, and cut around the butterfly before slipping the oval nestie around the image (keeping the butterly over the cutting edge to prevent cutting). After doing that, I stamped another image, and cut out the butterfly and pasted on top of the other to give a 3D effect. You can see the SCS tutorial here:
I colored the main image with copic markers. I am still not real comfortable with them, but I still love how they just flow. I tried to give the look of late evening as the sun is just about to set completely. I then highlighted the path in the distance a yellow to give the reflection of the last rays of sun shining on the path.
This also fits this week's Ways to Use It (WT305) Butterfly Bliss on SCS, and the Free For All (F4A47) Texturize Me on SCS using more than one embossing folder.
Sure thank you for stopping by and taking a look, and I always appreciate your comments and thoughts.
