My first idea for WT305 (Ways to Use It - Butterfly Bliss) was to use a collage stamp I have with a butterfly on it - I stamped and embossed it for an embossed resist, sponged over it with blue inks, and decided I'd lost too much of the detail in the image. So I cut out the butterfly (the white one on this card) from the embossed collage stamp and punched out the other two from some of the remaining bits of the embossed collage stamp. Then I needed to decide what to do with them, so found this wedgewood blue cardstock for the base, cut out the blue and white nesties labels, used versamark to stamp some Elements of Style flowers for the butterflies to sit on, and found a happy birthday stamp that would work in the remaining space. I popped the layered pieces up on dimensionals and added some pearls to the butterflies. Talk about a backwards way to plan a card!!
I still wanted to use my collage stamp for a card because it says "friend" on it and I wanted a birthday card for a friend so did a second card using a different technique with the collage stamp. See here: Butterfly for a Friend, WT305 by susanbri at Splitcoaststampers

This is great. I love the colors and those fun frame shapes. Way to save that butterfly - I hate it when a technique goes wrong like that - you did a great job making it useful again!
