I saw this card by Marisa, a/k/a whiterockmama, who was featured stamper last week and thought the layout would be perfect for using the clock image from the stamp set "A Sense of Time: Marisa's card is shown here:
I made this card for my stepfather who repairs watches and clocks. Thought it would be perfect for him. After I finished it, I thought I should have done more distressing and sponging, but I left as is.
I embossed the clock and added crystal effects to the second hand portion of the clock. I also added crystal effects to the small gears on the side which were punched out and glitter copper brads placed inside each one.
I made a b/g on the 1st chocolate chip layer with the gears in the stamp pad set and used To The Nines DSP for the panel behind the clock.
Used my circular nesties for the clock and matting and added my beloved retired chocolate chip corduroy brads in the center. I embossed the last vanilla circle with the lattice square ef. Popped up circular matting on dimensionals.
Marisa has a beautiful gallery and I'm so glad I was able to case 2 of her cards.
Thanks for taking a look and have a great week.

This is such a wonderful masculine card - very lovely (or handsome)!! Your cards are always so well planned and I need to start doing that before I sit down and just starting adding this and that!

Wow!! Now THAT is one fabulous-o masculine card. How perfect for your father-in-law! I just love that you added crystal effects for the "cover" on the secondhand portion. Great layout and spacing; super colors, too. I wish I'd have dreamed up this one!!!
