My demo has a monthly ‘featured stamper’ on her blog and this month it’s my turn to attempt her challenges. Donna’s blog: Just4u Stamping & Scrapbooking
My first card challenge was: A play on words... using two (or more) stamps, combine words (a word from each stamp) to create a new image.......
I used 6 different stamps from the Bring on the Cake and Thanks for Caring sets in the new SU Occasions mini to create my sentiment. I love my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig!!!
All of the DSP I used is from the “My Digital Studio” Vintage Springtime Designer Series Paper - Digital Download (printed on white 110lb cardstock). Found in the new mini… (The stamps & rosettes are also from the mini.)
The butterfly was stamped on Very Vanilla, cut out, spritzed with my trusty mix of Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol, smooshed (technical term) onto my Versamark pad and embossed with clear embossing powder (repeated the smooshing/embossing 2-3 times). Liked the way it turned out, especially with the bit of sparkle under the embossing. The sentiment panel is all shimmery too but somehow the camera doesn’t capture “shimmer” too well.
Once I got the card made, it seemed it would only be complete with a slice of cake and a flickering candle.

Wow! Heather, you have really gone all out on this one. Using My Digital Studio now. Didn't know that was in your possession. I love your tea candle. If you send this to me, there better be truffles inside. Your butterfly is beautiful. Great work, my friend.

Look at you go, Heather!! Your smokin stampamajig lined up your amazing sentiment so beautifully--one of the many highlights of your fantastic set. Love the papers and colors and those little rosettes. Your candle is adorable. Cake looks good enough to eat. A WOW set. So, are you planning on heading out this winter or are you holing up and stamping to your hearts content. We had a great Christmas and our son was home from college in BC for 3 whole weeks. Hope all is well with you too.

What an awesome gift combination. I love coordinating items. The little tealight cake and sliced cake box are just adorable. You are so talented putting your items together and an attractive display. Love it!

Wow Heather you have outdone yourself this time. What a wonderful package you've created. Your card is beautiful. The sentiment layer is great and your butterfly is gorgeous. I love the way you did the seam binding ribbon. Beautiful inside too. Gorgeous slice of cake (looks like it would be very yummy IRL) and candle. I have to try one of those. Do you teach lessons on doing this photography and layout? ;)

Well you just set the bar a lot higher with "All That Jazz." Fantastic display, what can I say? Way to go! There is so much in that picture I was just staring and staring and staring. Thank you, that was pure joy!

Yikes, this here is the works, even I must admit. You leave no stone unturned. I see we've got a cupcake w/a candle, a fabulous card and even a piece of cake. When can I come over? These are so fabulous and together, what a package it makes. Outstanding.
